Special Congregation Meeting Announcement

A special congregation meeting has been called for the purpose of considering the constitutionality of Council President Richard E. Samson’s and Council Secretary Dorotha Ekx’s conversation with Pastor Garrett Struessel regarding his future at First Lutheran Church, which led to his resignation.
Should their action lead to their removal from office?

Date and Time: Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 10:45 a.m.
Location: The Big Room at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 803 3rd Ave

This meeting will be facilitated by Brian Mason, District Attorney for Colorado’s 17th Judicial District, which serves Adams and Broomfield Counties and a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Boulder.

This being a specially called congregation meeting, no other issues or matters may be discussed or decided.
