Scripture informs us that Stewardship includes faithful management of all the gifts God has provided, our time, talents and treasure. These are spiritual practices.
From 1 Peter 4:10 we learn that each of us are given gifts for use in service of others. 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 teaches us that whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as they purpose in their heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
The First Lutheran Stewardship for All Seasons program promotes the spiritual practices of abundantly sharing our time, talents and treasure within the confines of our congregation as well as the whole of creation.
