Thursday, July 4 CHURCH WILL BE CLOSED

  • 4th of July Celebrations in Longmont - The City of Longmont has many activities planned for the day. Check out all of the action by visiting LongmontColorado.gov/fireworks . Hope to see you in the park and around town this 4th of July!
  • 11-3pm Concert in Roosevelt Park (new location this year) with performances by the Longmont Symphony Orchestras and Longmont Chorale from 12:30 - 3pm.  Sandy and Mark Moore will have the orange First Lutheran tent set-up at 12:00 noon in the Roosevelt Park on Thursday, July 4th, to offer shade for those of you who’d like a shady spot to listen to the orchestra. Look for the “First Lutheran Church” sign on the tent. Eat lunch before-hand, or bring a sack lunch, your own chair and hydration fluids. The city will also have food trucks available at the ice rink shelter. Come join in the fun at Roosevelt Park!
  • Street Party - The Street Party will occupy 2nd Ave. between Kimbark St. and Collyer St., and Emery St. between 1st Ave. and 3rd Ave., from 5 to 10 pm. Entrance into the street party area and carnival games are FREE and food and drinks will be available for purchase at restaurants, bars, and food trucks. Outside food and beverages will not be allowed within the street party area. Live music will be performed throughout the event at the Wibby Brewing pavilion at 209 Emery St.  The Longmont Symphony Orchestra is scheduled to perform live music to accompany the fireworks show at 9:30 pm.
  • Drone Show - Starting around 9:15 pm, 300 lighted drones piloted by the Innovation Center of SVVSD  Drone Performance Team, will fly high over the Dicken’s Farm Nature Area.*
  • Fireworks Show - This year’s Kiwanis fireworks show will start around 9:30 pm and will be deployed from the Longmont Fire Training Center.* Recommended viewing areas can be found at  LongmontColorado.gov/fireworks
