Every summer, we have the opportunity to spend a weekend together up at Sky Ranch Lutheran Camp. This year it will be July 19-21, 2024. Additionally, there is a weeklong camp for youth.

Who is Weekend Camp For?

YOU! Individuals, families, households, friends, people wanting to go to the mountains, someone wanting quiet time with God, adults with servant hearts and helping hands, youth wanting to go to camp with the comfort of family, groups that have gone before, those open to trying something new…YOU!

What do we do at Camp?

We do camp stuff! Each year we pick a theme for the weekend. Sometimes we explore a Bible story, sometimes we spend the weekend working on a big project at the camp, and sometimes we lean on the Sky Ranch staff to lead us through the best parts of camping ministry.

We always have worship time (usually at a campfire) as a way to reconnect to our faith, and to share the sacred mountain space together. See a typical weekend schedule.

Typical Weekend Schedule

Friday

5:30 pm – Pot-luck Dinner (optional)
6:30 pm – Set-up/settle in time
7:30 pm – Campfire

Saturday

8:00 am-Morning devotions
8:30 am-Breakfast in the Lodge
9:00 am-noon – Congregation Time
Noon – Lunch
1:00-3:00 pm – Afternoon activities including hiking, games, crafts, high-ropes, rest and relaxation
3:00-5:30 pm – Service Projects
5:30 pm – Dinner
6:30-7:30 pm – Game time!
7:30 pm – Campfire (with s’mores!)

Sunday

8:30 am – Breakfast
9:30-10:00 am – Clean-up/pack-up
10:00 am – Worship
Noon – Lunch (requires separate fee, see registration form)

Money should never be the reason someone does not attend a church function. Scholarships are available.

Youth Week Long Camp
July 21-26, 2024

All students from 1st Grade through High School are encouraged to attend this faith-building and community-expanding experience.

The camp is nestled in the Rockies above Fort Collins and offers a quality faith-filled program tailored to each age group. At the same time, our children and youth (who come from a number of different schools) get to know one another as church friends.  In addition, First Lutheran Church staff also attends during the week to share in the experience.  Descriptions of the camp programming are found at the camp website.

(Confirmation Intensive, an additional camp week for confirmation students, is June 23-28, 2024.)

How to Register for Youth Camp
  • Parents register their children at www.skyranchcolorado.org.
  • Registration and all "paperwork" is done directly with Sky Ranch.
  • Use the appropriate code [forthcoming] to be connected to First Lutheran Church.
  • You can always call Sky Ranch, 970-493-5258, for assistance.
  • Scholarships are available. Contact the church office.
